According to sources close to the matter, Fr. Long is scheduled to meet the bishop this afternoon.  It is up to the bishop to accept or reject Fr. Long’s resignation, and most likely, this decision will be made today at that meeting. I will update this report as soon as details become available.  Sources believe that the meeting is for later this afternoon. JG
